I didn’t always have a thriving business. Ten years ago, I was an educator. I thought I had landed my dream job (summers off, school vacations home with kids), but I was working over time, and not achieving a work-life balance.

 

At age 33, I made a career pivot. I taught myself how to run a wine retail business with an education background, no finance or business degrees, only drive and determination. I had 3 children under the age of 6. I was recently divorced. I kept showing up and refused to give up. Seven years later, I expanded to a second location.
